What's the status of my order?

What's the difference between the OSR Gift Pack and the Online Star Gift?
When ordering the OSR Gift Pack, a physical gift pack will be sent via post to the address of your choice. The Online Star Gift is a completely digital gift. You can download the contents in PDF format from your online customer account.

Can I order two of the same gift packs?
Yes. After making a single purchase, you can use our ‘add another gift pack’ function by logging into your customer account with your personal e-mail address and password, which was sent to you in your order confirmation email.
Which constellation should I choose?
You might want to opt for one of the 12 zodiacs, or opt for a randomly assigned constellation. If you’d like to find out more about the 88 constellations, please feel free to download the interactive OSR Star Finder app.
Will I own the star from a legal standpoint?
No, because no one can actually buy a star. Even the stars named by the scientific community are not actually owned by anyone. Naming stars in our public register is the only service the Online Star Register offers. Astronomical coordinates of stars in our galaxy are symbolically connected to the Star Name and Star Date of your choice. You will thereby own the registration in the Online Star Register, which is a unique record in our database. The star can then be visualized in many ways, including (but not limited to) the One Million Stars App, the OSR Star Finder, and your customized Star Page.
Where can I find the password of the Star Page owner?
You can find the password on the OSR Code Explanation Sheet. You can find this PDF sheet in your customer account by logging in with your personal e-mail address and password, which was sent to you in your order confirmation email. You can find the sheet in the OSR Gift Pack too.

Am I allowed to choose any star date?
Yes, please feel free to choose any date in the past or future. The default choice is the present day. Popular choices are dates which relate to an occasion or event, such as the day you first met, a birthday, a wedding day, a birth, or a passing.
How can I look up my star?
There are many ways to do this! No matter which method you choose, you must use your OSR Code, which is highlighted on the OSR Code Explanation Sheet in the gift pack. Using this code, you can look up your named star in our breathtaking One Million Stars browser app. Fly to your star and experience it in 3D!
You can also download the free OSR Star Finder mobile app, which you can use to locate your star in the night sky any time of the day. On your personalized Star Page, the star is visualized with Google Sky. Finally, you can also locate your star using the OSR Star Map in the OSR Gift Pack.
I don't know the star name yet. What can I do?
You might want to order the OSR Gift Card. This allows the recipient, using the code on the card, to place a free registration in the Online Star Register. They can then choose their own star name and star date. They will still receive the OSR Gift Pack!
Can I place multiple orders at once?
We’ve created several options for corporate (bulk) orders.
For regular orders: Once you’ve placed your first order, it’s easy to place more orders from your customer account, but they must be processed one at a time. You can login with your personal e-mail address and password, which are sent to you in your order confirmation email.
