\u00c7ok uzun y\u0131llard\u0131r astronomlar, gezegenlerin k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck asteroitler olan ve Edgeworth-Kuiper Kemer Nesneleri ad\u0131 verilen ‘nesnelerden’ nas\u0131l olu\u015ftu\u011funu anlatan bir teoriyi kan\u0131tlamaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yorlar. Bu nesnelerin varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 daha \u00f6nceden tahmin edilmi\u015f olsa dahi, \u00e7ok uzakta ve \u00e7ok k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck olduklar\u0131 i\u00e7in en geli\u015fmi\u015f teleskoplarda bile yeterli do\u011frulukla tespit edilemiyorlard\u0131.<\/p>\n

Bu durum ise gezegenlerin olu\u015fum teorisini tam olarak kan\u0131tlayamamakla sonu\u00e7land\u0131. Fakat Japonya Ulusal Astronomik G\u00f6zlemevi’ndeki bilim adamlar\u0131, G\u00fcne\u015f sistemimizin kenar\u0131nda bir nesne buldular ve bunun varl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 occultation ad\u0131 verilen basit bir y\u00f6ntemle kan\u0131tlad\u0131lar.<\/p>\n

Occultation y\u00f6ntemi<\/span><\/h2>\n

Ekip, projeleri i\u00e7in \u00e7ok s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 bir b\u00fct\u00e7eye (ulusal projelerinkinin y\u00fczde 0,3’\u00fc kadar) sahip oldu\u011fundan, g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fc g\u00f6zlemlemek i\u00e7in nispeten k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck iki teleskop kurmaya karar verdiler. 2000 adet y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131 se\u00e7ip yakla\u015f\u0131k 60 saat boyunca titizlikle izledikten sonra ekip, \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00fct\u00e7eli ara\u015ft\u0131rmalara adeta ta\u015f \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131p astronomi bilimi i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli rol oynayan bir ke\u015fifte bulundu.<\/p>\n

Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, gezegeni olu\u015fturan k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck par\u00e7alar\u0131 bulmak i\u00e7in “occultation” y\u00f6ntemini kulland\u0131lar. Bu y\u00f6ntem de basit olarak \u00e7ok say\u0131da y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n izlenmesi ve herhangi bir nesnenin y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n \u00f6n\u00fcnden ge\u00e7erken olu\u015fturdu\u011fu g\u00f6lgesinin takip edilmesi \u015feklinde i\u015fliyor.<\/p>\n

B\u00f6ylece Pl\u00fcton’dan \u00e7ok da uzak olmayan bir yerde 1,3 kilometre yar\u0131\u00e7ap\u0131nda bir cisim ke\u015ffeden ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, teorinin kan\u0131tlanabilmesi i\u00e7in ula\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 gereken kilometre ta\u015flar\u0131ndan birine daha ula\u015fm\u0131\u015f oldu. Gezegen olu\u015fum teorisinin ne zaman kan\u0131tlanaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ise zaman g\u00f6sterecek.<\/p>\n

Gezegenler nas\u0131l olu\u015fur<\/span><\/h2>\n

Gezegenler gen\u00e7 y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n etraf\u0131nda d\u00f6nen gaz ve toz bulutlar\u0131n\u0131n i\u00e7inde do\u011far. Bir araya gelen toz zerreleri giderek b\u00fcy\u00fcr; \u00e7ak\u0131l ta\u015f\u0131, kaya ve da\u011f b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde par\u00e7alar olu\u015ftururlar. Ba\u015flang\u0131\u00e7ta par\u00e7alar bi\u00e7imsizdir. Ancak kaya par\u00e7alar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7ap\u0131 1000 kilometrenin \u00fczerine \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131nda k\u00fctle\u00e7ekim etkisiyle k\u00fcreye benzer bir hal al\u0131rlar. Bu olu\u015fum senaryosundaki s\u00fcre\u00e7lerden a\u00e7\u0131klamas\u0131 en zor olan\u0131 ufak par\u00e7alar\u0131n nas\u0131l bir araya geldi\u011fi. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc \u00e7ap\u0131 bir milimetre ile birka\u00e7 y\u00fcz kilometre aras\u0131nda olan kaya par\u00e7alar\u0131 birbirlerine tutunmaz. \u00d6rne\u011fin iki \u00e7ak\u0131l ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131 f\u0131rlatarak birbiriyle \u00e7arp\u0131\u015ft\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131z\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcn. Ta\u015flar birbirine yap\u0131\u015fmaz, aksine farkl\u0131 y\u00f6nlere sa\u00e7\u0131l\u0131rlar. Peki, \u00f6yleyse devasa b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fckte gezegenler nas\u0131l oluyor da ufak toz zerrelerinin zamanla bir araya gelerek birbirine tutunmas\u0131yla olu\u015fuyor? Farkl\u0131 gaz ak\u0131mlar\u0131 kaya par\u00e7alar\u0131n\u0131n bir araya gelerek y\u0131\u011f\u0131lmas\u0131na neden oluyor. B\u00f6ylece ufak kaya par\u00e7alar\u0131 zamanla birikerek devasa gezegenleri olu\u015fturuyor.<\/p>\n

Hubble ve \u0131\u015f\u0131k y\u0131l\u0131<\/span><\/h2>\n

Hubble, D\u00fcnya\u2018dan 1500 \u0131\u015f\u0131k-y\u0131l\u0131 \u00f6tede bulunan bir bulutsu i\u00e7indeki Theta 1 Orionis C y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7evresinde gezegen olu\u015fumunu g\u00f6steren kan\u0131tlar yollad\u0131.
\nColorado\u2018daki Boulder Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc\u2018nden Profes\u00f6r Henry Throop, makalede “toz par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n gezegen olu\u015fturdu\u011funu Hubble sayesinde ilk kez g\u00f6rd\u00fcklerini” belirtti. Throop, “G\u00f6rd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm\u00fcz toz k\u00fcmesi b\u00fcy\u00fck par\u00e7ac\u0131klardan olu\u015fuyor. Baz\u0131 par\u00e7ac\u0131klar iri kum tanesi b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde. Bir gezegenin olu\u015fum evrelerini izliyoruz” ifadesini kulland\u0131. <\/p>\n

G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemimizi olu\u015fturan ana nebulan\u0131n \u00e7ap\u0131n\u0131n 20 parsek oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. G\u00fcne\u015f sistemi bu nebulan\u0131n sadece 0.01-0.1 parsek \u00e7ap\u0131ndaki bir par\u00e7as\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7\u00f6kmeye, yo\u011funla\u015fmaya ba\u015flamas\u0131yla meydana gelmi\u015ftir.<\/p>\n

G\u00fcne\u015f \u00f6ncesi nebulas\u0131 ad\u0131n\u0131 verdi\u011fimiz bu par\u00e7ada yo\u011funla\u015fmaya neden olan, daha do\u011frusu kataliz\u00f6r g\u00f6revi g\u00f6ren \u015feyin s\u00fcpernovalardan yay\u0131lan \u015fok dalgalar\u0131 olabilece\u011fi tahmin edilmi\u015ftir. Bu \u015fok dalgalar\u0131 sayesinde ortamdaki gaz ve toz k\u00fcmelenmeye ba\u015flar ve k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimi etkisiyle y\u0131ld\u0131z sistemleri meydana gelir. S\u00fcpernovalar k\u00fctlesi olduk\u00e7a y\u00fcksek olan ve dolay\u0131s\u0131yla k\u0131sa \u00f6m\u00fcrl\u00fc olan y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n \u00f6m\u00fcrlerinin sonuna gelince infilak etmeleri sonucu etrafa \u015fok dalgas\u0131yla birlikte i\u00e7lerindeki materyali de sa\u00e7arlar.<\/p>\n

Demir elementinin karars\u0131z izotoplar\u0131ndan olan 60Fe ve benzer \u015fekilde aluminyum izotopu 26Al, sadece s\u00fcpernova patlamalar\u0131yla ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan \u00fcr\u00fcnlerdendir ve D\u00fcnya\u2019ya d\u00fc\u015fm\u00fc\u015f meteoritlerde bu izotoplar bulunmu\u015ftur. 60Fe daha eser miktarda bulundu\u011fu i\u00e7in G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi\u2019ni olu\u015fturan etkiyi yaratacak patlamadan \u00e7ok daha \u00f6nceki \u00e7evrimlerden arta kald\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir fakat 26Al miktar\u0131, etrafta 20 G\u00fcne\u015f k\u00fctlesinden daha b\u00fcy\u00fck bir y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi olu\u015fmadan \u00f6nce patlad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve sistemimizi olu\u015fturacak gaz ve toza etki etti\u011fini do\u011frulamakta.<\/p>\n

Supernova\u2019dan gelen \u015fok dalgas\u0131n\u0131n etkisiyle k\u00fcmelenmeye ba\u015flayan bulutsu k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel olarak bask\u0131n hale geldi\u011finde \u00e7\u00f6kmeye ba\u015flar. Merkezde yo\u011fun bir \u00e7ekirdek olu\u015ftuktan sonra k\u00fctle\u00e7ekimsel alan b\u00fcy\u00fcy\u00fcp etraftaki gazlar\u0131 da \u00e7ekmeye ba\u015flar ve daha da b\u00fcy\u00fcr. Akresyon ad\u0131 da verilen bu s\u00fcre\u00e7le etraftaki gazlar sistemin i\u00e7ine dahil edilir ve sistem d\u0131\u015far\u0131dan ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131z bir hale gelir. Bu andan itibaren i\u00e7sel s\u00fcre\u00e7lerle evrilme devam eder.<\/p>\n

Merkezdeki \u00e7ekirdek, etraf\u0131ndan madde ald\u0131k\u00e7a daha az hacme s\u0131k\u0131\u015fan bulutsu a\u00e7\u0131sal momentumunu korumak i\u00e7in \u00e7ok daha h\u0131zl\u0131 bir \u015fekilde d\u00f6nmeye ba\u015flar. (bir patencinin kendi etraf\u0131nda d\u00f6nmeye ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 s\u0131rada kollar\u0131n\u0131 ve bacaklar\u0131n\u0131 bir araya toplad\u0131\u011f\u0131nda h\u0131zlanmas\u0131 da ayn\u0131 nedenden dolay\u0131d\u0131r.) Sisteme yandan bakt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z zaman, nebulan\u0131n yukar\u0131s\u0131ndan ve a\u015fa\u011f\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00e7ekilen par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ve dikey enerjilerini bu \u015fekilde yok etmeleri nedeniyle sistem y\u00fcksekli\u011fini kaybedip geni\u015fleyerek bir disk \u015feklini almaya ba\u015flar. Gezegenleri nas\u0131l a\u00e7\u0131klar\u0131z?<\/span><\/h2>\n

G\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcndeki baz\u0131 nesnelerin y\u0131ld\u0131zlara g\u00f6re hareketli oldu\u011fu binlerce y\u0131ld\u0131r biliniyor. Eski Yunanl\u0131lar, g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcnde dola\u015fan bu nesnelere \u201casteres planetai\u201d (gezen y\u0131ld\u0131zlar) demi\u015fler. Ancak, o zamanlar her \u015feyin D\u00fcnya \u00e7evresinde doland\u0131\u011f\u0131 san\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan, bir g\u00f6kcisminin gezegen olmas\u0131 i\u00e7in g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn y\u0131ld\u0131zlardan olu\u015fan fonunda hareketli olmas\u0131n\u0131n yeterli oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyordu.<\/p>\n

1800\u2019lerin ortalar\u0131ndan sonra, G\u00fcne\u015f Sistemi, 9 gezegen ve \u00e7ok say\u0131da k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck gezegenden olu\u015fan bir sistem olarak kabul ediliyordu. Bunlar\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, kuyrukluy\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n da Kuiper Ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131 olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan ve Nept\u00fcn\u2019\u00fcn y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinin \u00f6tesinde bulunan bir ku\u015fakta yo\u011funla\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyordu. Kuiper Ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131, 1992 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar yaln\u0131z kuramsal olarak \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyordu. 1992\u2019den sonra, Pl\u00fcton\u2019un y\u00f6r\u00fcngesini de i\u00e7ine alan bu b\u00f6lgede birtak\u0131m buzlu g\u00f6kcisimleri ke\u015ffedilmeye ba\u015fland\u0131.<\/p>\n

29 Temmuz 2005\u2019te ke\u015ffi duyurulan ve ad\u0131 Eris konan g\u00f6kcismi, barda\u011f\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131ran damla oldu. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc Eris, Pl\u00fcton\u2019dan b\u00fcy\u00fckt\u00fc. G\u00f6kbilimciler, geli\u015fen teleskoplar ve g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme teknikleri sayesinde benzer g\u00f6kcisimlerinden daha y\u00fczlercesinin ke\u015ffedilebilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyorlar.<\/p>\n

Bu geli\u015fmeler \u00fczerine, Uluslararas\u0131 Astronomi Birli\u011fi (IAU), A\u011fustos 2006\u2019da gezegenin yeni bir tan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 yapt\u0131. Buna g\u00f6re bir g\u00f6kcisminin gezegen say\u0131labilmesi i\u00e7in, ba\u015fl\u0131ca \u00fc\u00e7 ko\u015fulu yerine getirmesi gerekiyor.
