DART uzay arac\u0131n\u0131n misyonunun d\u00fcnya i\u00e7in tehlike arz eden asteroidlerin y\u00f6r\u00fcngelerini de\u011fi\u015ftirmek, bir bak\u0131ma d\u00fcnyay\u0131 asteroid tehlikesinden korumak oldu\u011funu belirten Tanr\u0131ver, NASA’n\u0131n daha \u00f6nce de Ay’a bir roket f\u0131rlat\u0131p ay par\u00e7alar\u0131n\u0131 ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 aktard\u0131.<\/p>\n
Bu g\u00f6rev ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olunca “Bir asteroidi vurabilir miyiz?” sorusuyla NASA’n\u0131n yola \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve DART program\u0131n\u0131 olu\u015fturdu\u011funu anlatan Tanr\u0131ver, \u015f\u00f6yle konu\u015ftu:<\/p>\n
“Asteroidler, g\u00fcne\u015f sisteminde Mars ve J\u00fcpiter aras\u0131nda duran g\u00f6kta\u015flar\u0131d\u0131r. Nept\u00fcn \u00f6tesi cisimler de dedi\u011fimiz Kuiper Ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131 vard\u0131r. Bunlar da asteroid ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. Bu asteroidlerden, bu ku\u015faklardan, bu g\u00f6kta\u015flar\u0131ndan d\u00fcnyam\u0131z\u0131n y\u00f6r\u00fcngesine giren, d\u00fcnyam\u0131za yakla\u015fan bir\u00e7ok tehlikeli g\u00f6kta\u015flar\u0131 d\u00fcnyam\u0131z i\u00e7in risk ta\u015f\u0131maktad\u0131r. Dinozorlar\u0131n neslini yok eden b\u00fcy\u00fck bir asteroid \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmas\u0131d\u0131r. Do\u011fal olarak d\u00fcnyam\u0131za \u00e7arpacak bir asteroid \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 insanl\u0131\u011f\u0131n ve d\u00fcnya \u00fczerinde ya\u015fayan varl\u0131klar\u0131n yok olmas\u0131na da sebebiyet verebilir. O nedenle bu t\u00fcr tehlikeli asteroidlerin tespit edilmesi ve onlar\u0131n bize kar\u015f\u0131 \u00e7arpma riskini azaltmak i\u00e7in b\u00f6yle bir program yap\u0131ld\u0131. 27 Eyl\u00fcl’de DART uzay arac\u0131, Dimorphos ve Didymos diye iki asteroid var, Didymos ana asteroid, Dimorphos ise uydu asteroid yani onun etraf\u0131nda d\u00f6nen asteroddir, Dimorphos’a \u00e7arpt\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131. Bu s\u0131rada etrafa toz par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131, maddeler \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. 10 bin kilometre uzunlu\u011funda bir kuyru\u011fu olu\u015ftu Dimorphos’un. Burada yapay bir kuyruklu y\u0131ld\u0131z olu\u015fmu\u015f gibi bir senaryo d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnebilirsiniz.”<\/p>\n
NASA’n\u0131n asteroid k\u00fctlesine kar\u015f\u0131 uzay arac\u0131n\u0131n ne kadar h\u0131zda olmas\u0131 ve nas\u0131l bir a\u00e7\u0131 alt\u0131nda asteroide \u00e7arpt\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 problemini bu DART g\u00f6revinin ba\u015far\u0131yla sonu\u00e7lanmas\u0131yla \u00e7\u00f6zd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc vurgulayan Tan\u0131rver, \u00e7arpt\u0131r\u0131lma esnas\u0131nda T\u00fcrkiye’den de T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Ulusal G\u00f6zlemevi kanal\u0131yla olay\u0131n teleskoplarla g\u00f6zlendi\u011fini ve NASA ile payla\u015f\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, NASA’n\u0131n da bu DART projesine T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Ulusal G\u00f6zlemevini dahil etti\u011fini dile getirdi.<\/p>\n
Bu \u00e7arp\u0131\u015fma sonucunda asteroidin y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinin de\u011fi\u015fip de\u011fi\u015fmedi\u011finin 12 Ekim’de olumlu y\u00f6nde a\u00e7\u0131kland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 hat\u0131rlatan Tanr\u0131ver, “Bu denemenin amac\u0131 ne kadar k\u00fctleyle ne kadar h\u0131zla bu i\u015fi yaparsak bize tehlikeli bir \u015fekilde gelen asteroidi nas\u0131l y\u00f6r\u00fcngeden \u00e7\u0131karabiliriz problemini \u00e7\u00f6zmekti. \u015eimdi NASA, elindeki bu verilerle buna kar\u015f\u0131 tedbir alacak.” diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n
Ya\u015fan\u0131labilen yegane gezegenin d\u00fcnya oldu\u011funa dikkati \u00e7eken Tanr\u0131ver, “Yeni yeni ke\u015fifler yap\u0131l\u0131yor ama \u015furada \u0131\u015f\u0131k h\u0131z\u0131yla dahi gitsek en yak\u0131n y\u0131ld\u0131za, g\u00fcne\u015f hari\u00e7 di\u011fer bir y\u0131ld\u0131za 4,5 y\u0131lda gidebiliyoruz. Di\u011fer gezegenlere gitmemiz, ula\u015fmam\u0131z \u015fu an itibar\u0131yla imkans\u0131z. O y\u00fczden insanl\u0131k olarak d\u00fcnyam\u0131za iyi bakmam\u0131z gerekiyor. Ama ne yaz\u0131k ki d\u00fcnyay\u0131 insano\u011flu payla\u015fam\u0131yor maalesef.” ifadelerini kulland\u0131.<\/p>\n
Tanr\u0131ver, d\u00fcnya \u00fczerinde g\u00f6zlemevleri, d\u00fcnya y\u00f6r\u00fcngesinde dolanan uydu g\u00f6zlemevleri bulundu\u011funu, uzay\u0131n g\u00f6zlendi\u011fini ancak yeterli olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 vurgulad\u0131.<\/p>\n
G\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fcn t\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fcn taranmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini belirten Tanr\u0131ver, “Ortaya \u00e7\u0131kacak bir tehlikeyi daha \u00f6nceden sinyal verecek bir yap\u0131land\u0131rmaya gidilmesi gerekiyor ki bu t\u00fcr projeler ba\u015far\u0131ya ula\u015fs\u0131n. Mesela ge\u00e7mi\u015f y\u0131llarda \u00e7ok \u00e7ok yak\u0131n\u0131m\u0131zdan bir asteroid ge\u00e7ti ve son dakikada haberimiz oldu. Bazen de g\u00f6remedi\u011fimiz durumlar oluyor, s\u00f6n\u00fck ya da k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck k\u00fctleli oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in.” dedi<\/p>\n
