Alpha Draconis olarak adland\u0131r\u0131lan Thuban, K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck Ay\u0131 ile B\u00fcy\u00fck Ay\u0131 tak\u0131my\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131 aras\u0131nda yer alan Draco tak\u0131my\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131nda yer al\u0131yor. Ayr\u0131ca eski M\u0131s\u0131rl\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan kutup y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131 olarak kabul edildi\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyor. Bilim insanlar\u0131n\u0131n yeni ke\u015ffi, Thuban’\u0131n bir ikili y\u0131ld\u0131z sistemi oldu\u011funu ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131.<\/p>\n
Yakla\u015f\u0131k 4.700 y\u0131l \u00f6nce, M\u0131s\u0131rl\u0131lar\u0131n piramitleri in\u015fa etti\u011fi d\u00f6nemde Thuban, di\u011fer y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n geceleri etraf\u0131nda d\u00f6nd\u00fc\u011f\u00fc ekseni olu\u015fturuyordu. Baz\u0131 ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, piramitlerin bu nedenle do\u011frudan Thuban’a g\u00f6re hizalanacak \u015fekilde in\u015fa edildi\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyor. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde ise Kutup Y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131, D\u00fcnya ekseninin e\u011fimi zamanla de\u011fi\u015fti\u011fi i\u00e7in Thuban’\u0131n sa\u011f\u0131nda kalan ve daha parlak bir y\u0131ld\u0131z olan Polaris olarak tan\u0131mlan\u0131yor.<\/p>\n
NASA g\u00f6kbilimcileri, amac\u0131 d\u0131\u015f gezegenleri g\u00f6zlemlemek olan uzay teleskobu Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131yla eski kutup y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131n\u0131 ve daha bir\u00e7o\u011funu izliyor. TESS, iki y\u0131ld\u0131r geceleri g\u00f6ky\u00fcz\u00fcn\u00fc 24×90 derecelik kesitler \u015feklinde g\u00f6zlemliyor ve teleskop k\u0131sa s\u00fcre \u00f6nce Thuban’\u0131n tutulmalara u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ke\u015ffetti.<\/p>\n
Ke\u015ffe g\u00f6re Thuban, asl\u0131nda bir y\u0131ld\u0131z \u00e7ifti ve \u00e7iftin b\u00fcy\u00fck olan y\u0131ld\u0131z\u0131 g\u00fcne\u015ften 4 kat daha b\u00fcy\u00fck, %70 daha s\u0131cak ve y\u00fczey s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 yakla\u015f\u0131k 9704 derece. Di\u011feri ise b\u00fcy\u00fck y\u0131ld\u0131zdan be\u015f kat daha s\u00f6n\u00fck ve yakla\u015f\u0131k yar\u0131s\u0131 boyutunda. \u0130ki y\u0131ld\u0131z birbirine ortalama 61 milyon km mesafede d\u00f6n\u00fcyor ve her 51 g\u00fcnde bir tam bir daire \u00e7iziyor. G\u00f6kbilimciler, daha \u00f6nce y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u0131n y\u00f6r\u00fcnge yollar\u0131nda tutulmaya u\u011frad\u0131\u011f\u0131na dair hi\u00e7bir kan\u0131t bulamam\u0131\u015flard\u0131.<\/p>\n
