{"id":109503,"date":"2019-09-29T11:09:46","date_gmt":"2019-09-29T09:09:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/osr.org\/?p=109503"},"modified":"2024-05-24T14:18:24","modified_gmt":"2024-05-24T12:18:24","slug":"dr-serena-aunon-chancellor-astronautin-und-aerztin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/osr.org\/de\/blog\/kinder\/dr-serena-aunon-chancellor-astronautin-und-aerztin\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Serena Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor &#8211; Astronautin und \u00c4rztin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Im Jahr 2018 verbrachte Dr. Serena Aunon-Chancellor 197 Tage an Bord der Internationalen Raumstation.\u00a0An Bord forschte sie an verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Experimenten.\u00a0Was brachte Dr. Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor dazu, Astronautin zu werden?<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #15acdf;\"><strong>Dr. Serena Aunon-<\/strong><strong>Chancellor: Erst <\/strong><strong>\u00c4rztin, dann<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Astronaut<\/strong><strong>in<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Serena\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Serena_Au%C3%B1%C3%B3n-Chancellor\">Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor<\/a>\u00a0kam im August 2006 als Flugchirurgin zum Johnson Space Center.\u00a0Sie verbrachte mehr als neun Monate in Russland, um medizinische Operationen f\u00fcr die Besatzungsmitglieder der Internationalen Raumstation zu unterst\u00fctzen.\u00a0W\u00e4hrend dieser Zeit nahm sie auch am Wasser\u00fcberlebenstraining in der Ukraine teil.<\/p>\n<p>Dies war jedoch nicht das erste Mal, dass Sie Gedanken zum Weltraum hegte.\u00a0Als Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor 15 Jahre alt war, hatte sie ihr erstes Erlebnis mit dem &#8222;Weltraum&#8220;. Sie f\u00fchrte Test-Weltraummissionen als Flugchirurgin an der\u00a0Space Academy\u00a0im historischen\u00a0US Space &amp; Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, durch.\u00a0In diesem praktischen Camp lernen die Sch\u00fcler, wie Astronauten f\u00fcr Weltraumexpeditionen trainieren und sie durchf\u00fchren.\u00a0&#8222;Mir wurde klar, dass ich meine Leben damit verbringen wollte&#8220;, sagte Dr. Aunon-Chancellor.<\/p>\n<p>Im November 2011 absolvierte sie eine Astronautenausbildung.\u00a0Dieses Training umfasste eine allgemeine Astronautenausbildung sowie Lehrg\u00e4nge zur Robotik, Weltraumspazierg\u00e4nge, physiologisches Training und mehr.\u00a0Im Jahr 2018 wurde sie Teil des Fluges 56\/57 auf der ISS.\u00a0Die Besatzung beteiligte sich an Hunderten von Experimenten in den Bereichen Biologie, Biotechnologie, Physik und Geowissenschaften an Bord der Internationalen Raumstation.\u00a0Die Untersuchungen f\u00fchrten zu neuen Methoden der Krebsbehandlung und zum Algenwachstum im All.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-109524\" src=\"https:\/\/osr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Dr.-Serena-Aunon-Chancellor.png\" alt=\"Dr. Serena Aunon-Chancellor\" width=\"758\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Dr.-Serena-Aunon-Chancellor.png 758w, https:\/\/osr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Dr.-Serena-Aunon-Chancellor-300x184.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 758px) 100vw, 758px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #15acdf;\"><strong>Medizin im Weltall<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Aunon-Chancellor untersuchte biologische Proben wie Rinder- und menschliches Sperma f\u00fcr eine Fruchtbarkeitsstudie.\u00a0Diese Studie wird Wissenschaftlern helfen zu verstehen, ob die menschliche Fortpflanzung m\u00f6glicherweise im Weltraum stattfinden k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n<p>Sie half auch bei der Kristallisation eines Proteins, das Leucin-reiche Wiederholungskinase 2 genannt wurde. Dieses Protein kommt in Patienten mit der Parkinson-Krankheit vor.\u00a0(W\u00e4hrend der Studie stellte sie fest, dass die Proteinkristalle in der Schwerelosigkeit gr\u00f6\u00dfer und gleichm\u00e4\u00dfiger wuchsen als auf der Erde.) Die Analyse der Proteinstruktur k\u00f6nnte Wissenschaftlern helfen, die Rolle des Proteins bei der Parkinson-Krankheit besser zu verstehen.\u00a0Dies k\u00f6nnte zu verbesserten Medikamenten gegen die Krankheit f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor untersuchte auch Endothelzellen (EC), die Zellen, die die Blutgef\u00e4\u00dfe auskleiden.\u00a0Diese Forschung wird dazu beitragen, festzustellen, ob in Mikrogravitation kultivierte EKs als ein gutes Modellsystem f\u00fcr Krebstherapieversuche dienen k\u00f6nnen.\u00a0\u201eIch war sehr stolz auf die Krebsforschung, die wir durchgef\u00fchrt haben, denn sie hat gezeigt, dass Zellen, die in der Mikrogravitation wachsen, gerne wachsen\u201c, sagt sie.<\/p>\n<p>Sie ist zuversichtlich, dass das, was im Weltraum gelernt wird, auf der Erde von Nutzen sein wird.\u00a0&#8222;Ziemlich schnell, sogar innerhalb der n\u00e4chsten drei bis f\u00fcnf Jahre, k\u00f6nnten sie uns helfen, Krebs hier unten zu heilen&#8220;, sagt sie.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #15acdf;\"><strong>Ratschl\u00e4ge f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Astronauten<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Au\u00f1\u00f3n-Chancellor hat eine einfache, aber starke Botschaft f\u00fcr Studenten mit \u00e4hnlichem Hintergrund: Beschr\u00e4nkt euch nicht. \u201eMein Vater stammte aus sehr bescheidenen Verh\u00e4ltnissen.
